There is a clip holding the handle. It is located in the center in the back of the handle. There is a tool to remove & install it; but you can use a flat screwdriver carefully. Good luck.

There is a C-Clip behind the handle. You must use a special tool to drive if off first. Once you have the C-Clip off, you can pull the handle straight off. Most auto body shops have the tool. You can use other tools, but it must be U-shaped and and you must get it in the right position and tap it off. It is not easy, but is the only way without destroying the handle.
