No it is not. You should be OK with any fully synthetic Transmission Fluid. But look on the back to make sure if it covers WS.

Is Toyota ATF-WS compatible with Toyota T-IV fluid?

Toyota ATF-WS (World Standard) Automatic Transmission Fluid used in certain 2004-2008 vehicles is NOT compatible with Toyota T-IV or Dexron ATF. WS ATF was introduced to reduce maintenance costs and increase the mileage between scheduled maintenance checks. The recommended maintenance interval for INSPECTION is 100,000 miles; ATF-WS does NOT require any flushing or changing during the life of the vehicle.

Is Toyota atf ws compatible with Toyota Highlander 2008?

Yes, Toyota ATF WS (Automatic Transmission Fluid World Standard) is compatible with the 2008 Toyota Highlander, as it is specifically designed for use in Toyota vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions. It is important to use the recommended fluid to ensure optimal performance and longevity of the transmission. What atf is compatible with Toyota atf ws?

At this point (as far as Jan 2011) there is not any fluid approved by Toyota or Lexus that can replace it. Valvolile and other brands "claim" it is compatible. I had seen transmission developing problems after 4,000 miles when serviced with other brands besides the original Toyota WS fluid. The price difference is none, the savings are none, the damage to the transmission is questionable , the warranty immediately voided, the looser, the owner of the vehicle. Stick for now with original Toyota WS. Google T-SB-0006-11

Can you use amsoil synthetic fluid rather than Toyota WS-transmission fluid in your 2004 four runner?

Answer:According to a Toyota Technical Service Bulletin dated 6/28/07, 2004-2008 Toyota vehicles equipped with automatic transaxles using ATF-WS does NOT require any flushing or changing during the life of the vehicle. Inspection of the fluid is recommended at 100,000 miles.Toyota also states that ATF-WS is NOT compatible with Toyota T-IV or Dexron ATF. Should a fluid change be necessary, a special service tool to fill the transmission is required. The bulletin also states that containers of ATF-WS should always be sealed, otherwise the fluid will absorb moisture and potentially cause shift concerns if used in operation.Although I personally use Amsoil motor oils and transmission oil for my own vehicles and believe it's a great oil, for a vehicle using ATF-WS, I would stay with that and not change to Amsoil due to the warnings about incompatibility with the T-IV and Dexron types of fluids. Because of the hygroscopic nature of the ATF-WS, it sounds like the basic chemical composition of the oil differs from the typical transmission fluids. I don't have MSDS data at this time, but it would be interesting to do more research to find out. If there's any potential for abnormalities in shifting, and until Amsoil makes a product that specifically meets the ATF-WS specs, I would say it's best to stick with the manufacturer's (Toyota's) recommendation, especially in this case.AMSOIL recently reformulated their ATF fluids and does recommend their ATF for your vehicle:2004 TOYOTA 4-RUNNER 4.7L 8-cyl Engine Code 2UZ-FE LUBRICANTS & FLUIDS:Automatic Transmission,A750F......WSLow Viscosity Synthetic ATF (ATLQT)Automatic Transmission,A340E......TIVSynthetic Universal Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATFQT)Automatic Transmission,A340F......TIVSynthetic Universal Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATFQT)Automatic Transmission,A750E......WSLow Viscosity Synthetic ATF (ATLQT)

What is the transmission fluid for 07 highlander?

It would be Toyota type IV or WS fluid. Recommend you purchase from the Toyota dealer. The Toyota dealership parts store can tell you which one is for your model / powertrain. Type IV transmission fluid (possibly Mobil 3309 ATF) Mobil 3309 meets Type IV requirements. Not sure which company and type the WS ATF is. I would assume Mobil Oil as well, but is a different transmission fluid from Type IV.
