It's the the turn signal switch that controls the Cruise Control Assembly. Therefore any problem to the Turn Signal switch affects the whole road safety.
To use the cruise control on the PT Cruiser, turn the cruise control on in the steering wheel. Accelerate to the desired speed and push in the end of the left turn signal knob. The cruise control should then control the speed. To take the car out of cruise control, a person can tap the brake.
on the turn signal lever it is a small slide switch
No
It may be a safety feature on your car. If you are going to make a turn you for sure do not want the cruise to be engaged.
The combination turn signal, cruise control, windshield wiper, and headlight dimmer switch simply plugs in. Pull the relay switch out and replace with the new switch.
Depends on what's wrong of course. However, it has been my experience that the problem is usually the controller. IE: the control thing on the turn signal lever. The wire has usually broken where it goes into the steering collumn. Check the fuse first of course.
sounds like a fuse is blown
The 1985 S10 Blazer GMAC Êoffers a delay wiper on the black cruise control lever. ÊThe part number is AM-64109149.
I think they call that the "control module" or equvilent. Usually, if you ask for a wiper, turn signal or cruise module, you'll get the one that controls all three.
To replace turn signal control module requires removing steering wheel. Took mine to a dealer - $245 out the door. Brake lights work great now.
if it doesn't have cruise control just twist the base of it bottom toward the dash and it will pull out putting a new one in is the reverse if it has cruise control then i suggest you get a haynes or a chilton manual for the illustrated version to make it easier to do
This is not easy since the cruise cont wires go down through the steering column. I suggest you take it to the garage.
