That usually means the engine is lean. Could be a vacuum leak.
you have a control vacuum leak, listen for hissing noise under dash when engine is running.
engine burning oil
Low vacuum. When you push down on the accelerator, vacuum decreases. Your Blower doors use vacuum to change positions from floor to vent to defrost. Have a vacuum test done on the vehicle. You may have a vacuum leak, or this may be a sign the engine is getting weak.(Low compression, Leaking valves, etc.)
A car can idle too low because there is a leak in the vacuum. Cracks or breaks on the vacuum hoses in the cars engine could be the cause of this.
check for vacuum leak or dirty fuel filter
An internal combustion engine needs air and atomized fuel to run. In a naturally aspirated engine (one which does not use forced induction), the downward movement of the piston, on the intake stroke, causes an area of low pressure or vacuum in the cylinder. The fuel and air mixture moves from the relatively high pressure outside to this low pressure area and is then compressed for combustion. Without this vacuum effect of piston movement, an alternate source of pressure would be necessary to effect this fuel/air induction.
There could be many reasons, a vacuum leak is one possibility.
The year, make, model and engine info would help but a serious vacuum leak could do that.
The Camry could have a vacuum leak. If there is a vacuum leak, then there can be a whistling sound until the vacuum system is full of air.
Vacuum hose leaking.
low idle and uneven idle
