Depends, truck/van/suv motors were usually L31's . LT's were generally put in camero/firebird/roadmaster/caprice/impala/fleetwood/vette's. LS1's were vette/camero/firebird motors in 97. 2004 gm put it in the GTO.
The 1994 Chevy Caprice did not come with an LS1 style motor. It came with either a 4.3liter LT1 V8 or a 5.7liter LT1 V8. Tell me which motor you have and I'll get you the torque specs. I do know the horsepower rating for both engines off the top of my head. 200hp for the 4.3 and 260hp for the 5.7
well it depends witch motor it has, 305, 350, LT1, LS1... look in wikipedia and yall find a answer to that!
With the 5.7L LT1 V8 it puts out 300HP and with the 5.7L LT4 V8 it puts out 330HP
the stock gap is 0.60 which is the same as the LS1 v8 gap.
Depends on the year. The SS started in 96. 96 and 97 had an LT1 V8 with the old style block. 98 through 02 have the LS1 V8 engine. I think 2009 or 2010 is the next year of Camaro, and they all have LS style V8 engines through the present.
The LS1 V8 was first used in the 1997 Chevrolet Corvette.
It doesn't have a timing belt. It has a timing chain.
Yes, I've seen E36s with 5.0 fords, LS1, M62 and S62 swapped in it. there is even a site. e36v8
approx 350 cubic inch displacement That is incorrect it is 346ci
I would go to the local tuner shop the most trusted shop around and talk to them about it. but what i would say is sell your v6 and get your self a V8 LS1 camaro / Firebird. if you are going to mod anything i would rather put money in a LS1 or LT1 if you want to ever go to a track and have fun smoking other ppl.
No, the LS1 engine did not come in the 1984 Corvette. The 1984 Corvette was equipped with the L83 engine, a 5.7-liter V8 that produced 205 horsepower. The LS1 engine, which is a 5.7-liter V8 as well, was introduced later in the 1997 Corvette C5 model.
In a 1996 Corvette LT1 engine, Bank 2 refers to the side of the engine that contains cylinders 2, 4, 6, and 8. This side is typically the passenger side when facing the front of the vehicle. The LT1 engine is a V8 configuration, so Bank 1, which contains cylinders 1, 3, 5, and 7, is on the driver’s side.
