Depends on the wheelbase, but generally a little above 100 MPH
I got my quad cab 2001 Dodge 1500 5.9 about little under 120mph so may be 118mph. But got it from California highway patrol for $9,000 in 2004. They used it as a patrol truck to catch speeders. So I think i don't have a gov to hold back the engine.

The speed signal comes from the abs sensor on top of the rear axle.
on my 4x4 it is on top of the rear diff into the housing..
The vehicle speed signal comes from the ABS sensor on top of the rear axle.

A 2001 Dodge truck does not have a speedometer cable. The speed signal comes from the rear axle speed sensor. (the sensor on top of the center of the rear axle)
The speedometer signal comes form the rear axle speed sensor on the top middle of the rear axle.
