The only time I've seen cracked spark plugs was putting them in or taking them out with the socket not perfectly straight.
poor installation most likely
What huh?
PROPER SOCKETS, AND DRIVES PLUS EXTENSIONS AND SWIVELS FOR THE REAR PLUGS. MAKE SURE YOU USE DEEP WELL SOCKETS, IT'S EASY TO CRACK THE INSULATORS ON THE PLUGS IF YOU DON'T
i would like to know what would cause the miss firing in Chevy Malibu
Yes, a crack in the distributor can cause misfiring in an engine. The crack can lead to improper electrical connections or disrupt the ignition timing, which prevents the spark from reaching the spark plugs effectively. This results in incomplete combustion and engine misfiring. Additionally, moisture can enter through the crack, further exacerbating the issue.
If you know the spark plugs and wires are good, then check for a vacuum leak. The vehicle is 11 years old, and you may very well have a crack in a vacuum hose. A leaking intake manifold gasket will also cause rough idle.
That would probably cause it to run lean.
how do i change the spark plugs on a Chevy silverado 1500
specification on gapping spark plugs for 2006 chevy cobalt
=why do my plugs keep cracking in a 2000 for explorer....changed four already
Bad spark plugs, coils are coil, bad injector. Cam are crankshaft sensor
from dropping them, ceranic is very brittle
