On the 2001 Chevrolet Malibu with a V6 engine, the low-pressure AC service port is located on the larger diameter aluminum line that runs from the compressor to the evaporator. It's typically found near the accumulator or the firewall, often on the passenger side of the engine bay. The port is usually capped with a plastic cover and has a smaller fitting to accommodate the low-pressure refrigerant hose. Always ensure the engine is off and the AC system is not under pressure before attempting to access the service port.
The low pressure service port, which is the smaller one.
Where is the low cooling censor located on a 2001 Chevy Malibu?
on passenger side between firewall and engine, It has an "L" on cap if not there it should be by the drivers side strut!!
You can refill your air conditioning system from the low pressure port on the air conditioner compressor. The low pressure port will be labeled as such.
The larger hose is low pressure
the low pressure valve is on the passenger side. follow low pressure line and you will see it
on 2000 3.1 it is on passengers side between engine and firewall, about 1 foot down..
it is located about half way down in back of engine on passengers side, between engine and firewall.
The low pressure port for the a/c is below the alternator and against the firewall. To get to it you have to reach back below the alternator (you'll see some tubes/chords, so move those to see it). It'll have a blue cap with an "L" on it and it'll be about a foot down from the top.
You can refill your 1987 VW air conditioning system from the low pressure port on the air conditioner compressor. Connect your Freon bottle to the low pressure port and release the Freon into the system.
on the large ref line (suction line)
on 3.1 it is between engine and firewall on passengers side, "L" is marked on cap!! about a foot down. if it is not there it should be by the right strut tower!!
