Should be pointing at the wire that goes to the cylinder that is at tdc. You can contact me for more info as I am having a hard time trying to know what you are asking.
rotor should point to cylinder #1
With the #1 cylinder on top dead center (TDC) of the compression stroke, the rotor should point to #1 on the distributor cap.
A Chevy 409 distributor rotor rotates clockwise.
If you turn the engine to TDC on the compression stroke, the distributor rotor will point at the terminal for #1. Most distributors have a mark (usually a 1) on them under the cap to indicate the #1 position for the rotor to point at. The cap tower directly above the rotor point at this position is for the #1 spark plug.
The minimum thickness for the rotors on an 05 Chevy Equinox is between 0.6 and 0.9 inches. This is the width or thickness of the rotor measured at its thinnest point.
clockwise
Rotor Under Cap Spins: Clockwise
It is stamped into the rotor. You will have to remove it to be able to read it.
When the #1 piston is at TDC./ TOP DEAD CENTER on the compression stroke the rotor should be pointing towards the #1 cylinder when the distributor is installed correctly.
rotor will point to #1 at TDC.
Remove the tire and wheel from your 1995 Chevy. Remove the brake assembly. Tap on the brake rotor with a mallet or hammer. The brake rotor will slide off.
Cap and rotor, yes. Points, no.
