India has been known as a country where the majority of the popuation live in villages or less reowned cities. In this areas, the facilities have not been upgraded yet, and still remain rusted or even spoilt. For example is the water purification! Thier water system in the villages is one of the worst in the world. Therefore when consuming those water and unclean food, it causes the stomach to release more hydrochloric acid to digest the food items. But unfortunately, the stomach releases far too much acid and the people would tend to vomit and die of heartburn early. This affects even small children. So, Antacid tablets are bought over the counter, to temporarily relief the the gastric juices.

Why do you think that energy consumption has not increased at the same rate as the population has increased?

Because people in different regions of the world use energy at different rates of consumption. The United States is the largest consumer of energy, so as their population increases their energy use increases at the fastest rate of anyone's. People in India use much less energy, so as their population energy consumption doesn't go up as fast. Population rates are different in different regions of the world as well. The US population rate increase is not as fast as India's, to use the same examples, so energy consumption increases, as both their populations increase, is somewhere between the increases experienced in both of these countries.

Why did the antacid disslove faster when broken up into smaller pieces?

Breaking the antacid into smaller pieces increases the surface area exposed to the solvent, allowing for more efficient dissolution. This results in faster dissolution because the solvent can more easily reach and react with the molecules of the antacid.

How does pH change with time as an antacid is added to HC1?

As an antacid is added to hydrochloric acid (HCl), the pH of the solution initially increases due to the neutralization reaction between the acid and the basic components of the antacid. Over time, as more antacid is introduced, the pH continues to rise until it stabilizes at a higher value, depending on the amount and strength of the antacid used. If the antacid is sufficient to neutralize all the HCl, the pH will approach neutral (around 7). However, if excess antacid is added, the pH may rise above 7, indicating a basic solution.

Will a whole antiacid react faster or crushed antiacid?

Crushed antacid will react faster than a whole antacid tablet. This is because crushing increases the surface area exposed to the acid, allowing for more efficient contact and interaction. As a result, the chemical reaction occurs more quickly with crushed antacid compared to its whole form.
