A 1993 Mazda 626 that idles fine but stalls when driving could have several issues. Common culprits include a failing fuel pump or clogged fuel filter, which can restrict fuel flow under load. Additionally, problems with the ignition system, such as a faulty ignition coil or spark plugs, may not manifest until the engine is under stress. Lastly, issues with the air intake, such as a dirty mass airflow sensor, could also contribute to stalling during acceleration.

Your Idle Air Contol valve (IAC) may need to be cleaned. Refer to the following website for instructions http://www.geocities.com/adamk01452/IAC_Clean.html
fuel pump, fuel filter, good place to start
A 1993 Mazda MX-3 does not have an inertia switch. If anything is wrong with what would normally be the inertia switch, the fuel pump may be faulty.
mass air flow sensor needs to be changed
5 speed or automatic?
Why engine stalls on 1993 Chrysler Intrepid while driving and sometimes at stops?
it leaks oil.
replace the fuel filter
Could have a bad motor mount
No.
Unfortunately these are not interchangeable. The 1993 model was a complete retooling of the 626, a bad one at that....the 1991 had an excellent transmission, the 1993 through 1998 were all terrible. In theory, you could retrofit, but that would be expensive.
