Car just shut off checked getting fuel cranks good just wont turn over
The gap on the plugs might not be gapped properly.
It is feeling silly and my other answer is it is behaving badly
Check/replace Rotor Check for spark at plugs
1-3-4-2 rotor turns clockwise.
start with dist cap and rotor
Replace plugs, wires, cap, rotor, belt as needed. Also check all fluids.Replace plugs, wires, cap, rotor, belt as needed. Also check all fluids.
If you are sure you got the firing order right when you changed spark plug wires, you most like ly have a timing problem. Either the initial timing is not correct or your timing advance is not working as the engine accelerates. I really would start with rechecking the firing order though. Good luck!
Bad ignition coil?
try the moduel
Check to see if engine is getting fuel, if it has an electric fuel pump, start by checking fuses, wires and relays.
Just a left field idea but did you check the ballast resistor?
Was the truck running OK before the plugs were changed? If ok before the plugs were changed then I would recheck the plug gap & check the plug wires. It is easy to damage the carbon fiber inside the wires. If they are old say around 40.000 miles I would change them. If truck was running rough before plugs were changed I would look at timing & vaccuum. Also cap & rotor. The converter can be a problem with rough engine perform. Check for bad gas.
