Using a set of a/c gauges put the blue hose on the low side (suction side) and the red hose on the high side (discharge side) to first check the pressures.....
Add freon if needed and keep the pressures as follows.. low side readings between 30 to 40psi and the high side between 200 to 250psi depending on the outside temperature…………….
NO! You NEVER mix refrigerants.
Connect guage & 134a freon to low pressure on the evaporator add 1lb at a time
You add refrigerant at the low pressure port but you do not add Freon. You add R134/134a. If you are having to add refrigerant then you have a leak that needs to be repaired first.
it takes 64oz or 4lbs of 134a make sure you add oil to it if u have drained it needs 11oz
To add freon to your AC unit, you need to locate the service valve on the unit, connect a charging hose to the valve, and slowly add the freon while monitoring the pressure levels. It is important to follow the manufacturer's instructions and safety guidelines when adding freon to your AC unit.
You have to vacumm out the system then add a specific amount of R-134A with a refrigerant gauge

It uses R-12. But if you need to add freon you might have to retro fit the a/c unit by changing it to R-134a wich is a replacement for R-12.It takes about a can 1/2.
To add freon to a window AC unit, you will need to locate the service valve on the unit, connect a charging hose to the valve, and slowly add the appropriate amount of freon using a refrigerant charging kit. It is important to follow the manufacturer's instructions and safety guidelines when adding freon to your AC unit.
where do I add freon to my air conditioning unit on a 1997 chevy truck?

A General Electric dehumidifier uses a sealed unit that does not have any way for you to add Freon to the unit. If you want to add Freon, you have to first install saddle valves to the dehumidifier.
