The sqeal is probably your fan belt on the alternator cos when the engine turns over the alternator needs to be pulled round and the initial inertia causes more power and friction on the belt, solution = tighten belt or put a small amount of release oil on pulley(not recommended due to fire risk) or change belt. The starter motor is connected to the engine by a gear if this is the source then expert help is needed.
Yep. When the wire is cold, the current flows from the battery to the starter very easily. As things get hot, the resistance in the wire becomes so great, and the current needed to crank the engine is so high, it just cannot push enough current to the starter until the wire cools down again. That's the cause. I suggest you go explain it to someone at Pep Boys for the cure, because other than replacing the wire to the starter I have no cure for you. Maybe that IS the cure. Phil
All Harleys and many other modern bikes for that matter suffer from the same problem. The fault is in your electric starter motor. As it heats up with the engine and more so if the starter motor only has two brushes and not four, some soldered coil connections on both stator and rotor that have cracked due to thermal expansion, once hot they don't make good contact and for that reason the starter motor cannot produce its normal power. Normally it will all be fine if you allow your bike to cool down for a few minutes.... Of course, the problem remains and the only way to cure it is by replacing the starter motor itself or taking it to a specialist that can trace the cracked soldered coils and repair them. Question that comes to minds here, is did this car start before the plugs were changed? The mere changing of the spark plugs is not the "miracle cure" for all car starting problems. There are other things like the fuel pump, the starter motor, the battery, the fuel lines, the fuel pump, the fuel injectors, the distributor system, gas in the tank, etc.

cure care
Motor neurone diseases occur when parts of the nervous system become damaged beyond repair. Unfortunately, there is not a cure for motor neurone disease, however there are medicines that doctors can give to help with symptoms.
No he is not. Nobody in the history of the world has ever recovered from Motor Neurone Disease. Sad to say a cure for this terrible disease is still a long way away
It could be a weak battery. The starter solenoid may be defective. If so a rebuilt starter could cure the problem.
A new battery is not a "cure all" for automotive problems. A battery is simply an electrical storage device that provides electrical energy for the NEXT time you need to start the engine. But to start the engine everything has to work in coordination: The engine must have adequate compression There must be a strong spark, timed properly to the position of the crankshaft There must be the proper amount of fuel delivered to the cylinders as the engine crankshaft is turned by the starter motor. The starter motor must be capable of turning the motor at an adequate speed to build the necessary compression. If the starter is not engaging, you need to find out why, is it the starter? keyswitch? neutral safety switch? wiring??? If you don't have compression... why? Is it a valve problem? camshaft timing? damaged/worn pistons??? If you don't have fuel why? is it a fuel pump problem? fuel pressure regulator? injector activation? if you don't have adequate spark... why? is it the coil? a sensor? distributor??? There are plenty of questions that have to be asked before you blame the battery, and you need to understand what's wrong before you can repair it. Never "throw parts" at a problem in hopes that you'll eventually find out what happened.
the sprag clutch ( overrun gear ) is gone and needs to be replaced a new part can be bought but normally the complete starter is changed in some cases squirting diesel oil on the sprag clutch can cure the problem but it normally reoccurs again
I'll answer my own question FYI. I replaced the wiper motor and the problem is fixed.
It is 16382 which is 2^14 - 2. Cure man: I said 2+1x2x12
