i want to fix a 1995 astro vans oil pan how do i go about that?
You may need to reseal the oil pan
How do u fix a stripped out oil pan
replace pan (junk yard, used part) or find a somone who welds aluminum. New oil pan from the dealer would be expencive.
Just remove the oil pan and repair or replace it.
you have water in the oil. either a blown head gasket or a cracked cylender head.
Look for broken/cracked oil pan, broken/cracked oil filter; loose oil pan cap; leaking gasket on pan, filter, pan cap; main bearings; cracked block. Possibly even from a bad valve cover gasket. Look underneath the engine for fresh oil that has leaked and you can narrow down the search, try putting a piece of cardboard under your engine as soon as you shut it off .it will give you a good indication where your leak is coming from
Located in the oil pan
Yes, a cracked oil pan on a 2002 CLK 320 can be welded, but it depends on the extent of the damage and the material of the oil pan. If it's made of aluminum, which many are, a skilled welder can often repair it. However, it's important to ensure that the area is clean and free of oil before attempting the weld. Additionally, consider the cost and effectiveness of welding compared to replacing the oil pan entirely.
Replacing the oil pan gasket is a fairly simple process. The labor allotment for replacement is 3/4 hour plus parts. Removing the oil pan requires a full oil change by necessity as well.
155 for barnad new oil pan and possibly 2 hr labour that will 160 all cost you lookin at 350
depends on where its leaking......could be easy if its a loose filter or loose drain plug but you could also have a blown gasket somwhere whether it be the oil pan head gasket or a cracked block
