where is the 2002 Oldsmobile Alero cruise control vacuum line?
The Alero should be a 5x115 bolt pattern.
1 hour to 1 1/2
The ignition control module on a 2001 Oldsmobile Alero is typically located on the engine, mounted on the ignition coil assembly. It is usually found near the front of the engine, close to the intake manifold. To access it, you may need to remove the engine cover and disconnect the electrical connectors. Always refer to a repair manual for specific instructions and safety precautions.
The holes is called the bypass holes I had the same thing happened to my alero
I have a 2003, and I calculated it once on a road trip. it ranges from about 26-32mpg highway. Pretty good! But sucks in town. Stupid stoplights.
if it is like an 03 alero, you wont be able to start the car. to fix this problem you have to turn the key to the on position fand leave it on for 10 min. or until it stops flashing. then you should be able to turn off and then start car like normal.
top right rear of engine.
Check for vacuum leaks. It's the usual culprit.
To locate a vacuum leak on a 2001 Olds Alero, check common areas such as the intake manifold gasket, vacuum hoses, and throttle body gasket for cracks or disconnections. Inspect the vacuum lines for wear, brittle spots, or loose connections. Additionally, you can use a smoke test to identify leaks, or spray carburetor cleaner around suspected areas while the engine is running; a change in RPM indicates a leak.
a bad sensor. the alero is notorius for many bad sensors. not an expensive replacement though
you have to drop the gas tank first disconnect the fuel lines and loosen the ring that holds the module (keep an eye on how it come out be careful not to bend the float) THE LESS GAS IN THE TANK THE BETTER. took me about 1 hour
U might need new brakes.. did your brake light come on?
