if it is like an 03 alero, you wont be able to start the car. to fix this problem you have to turn the key to the on position fand leave it on for 10 min. or until it stops flashing. then you should be able to turn off and then start car like normal.

you have to drop the gas tank first disconnect the fuel lines and loosen the ring that holds the module (keep an eye on how it come out be careful not to bend the float) THE LESS GAS IN THE TANK THE BETTER. took me about 1 hour
