about 1 and a half
I would use two and a half, but since that's not possible, I would get two and have extra batter. Mind you, no matter what batter, a cake/brownie must be 3/4 of the way full. hope this helped:)
Well, darling, a 16x16x2 cake pan can hold about 32 cups of batter. A standard cake mix makes about 4-6 cups of batter, so you would need about 5-8 cake mixes to fill that bad boy up. Just remember, it's always better to have too much cake than not enough!
Approximately 2 cups.
How deep? 1 inch will take .7 yards

How deep is the pan? 2" or 3"? It makes a huge difference.

When baking two boxes of cake mix in a 9x13 inch pan, you will need to adjust the baking time and temperature accordingly. Typically, you would bake a single box of cake mix in a 9x13 inch pan at 350°F for 30-35 minutes. Since you are doubling the recipe, you may need to increase the baking time by 10-15 minutes, but it's essential to monitor the cake closely towards the end of the original baking time to prevent over-baking. Use a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake to check for doneness - if it comes out clean, the cake is ready.
