It depends on what you get pierced generally 1 month to 6 weeks.
The healing time for each piercing can vary on average for body piercing the healing times for a light heal will range from 6 to 8 weeks. A light heal doesn't mean the piercing is "healed" it just means that the piercing has eased off on the production of Lymphatic matter (whitish discharge), the piercing can still become irritated by changing the jewellery too soon or wearing junk jewellery. So care needs to be used when changing jewellery and the quality of the jewellery needs to be the same of better than the original jewellery you were pierced with.
Generally the original post is too long once the piercing heals, but if you want to you can stay with what you have, but changing the jewellery always looks better.
Once any piercing is *seasoned (*over a year old ), so long as the jewellery is appropriate for the piercing in gauge and length or diameter the piercing will not stretch unless you change it to a larger gauge. So will you have this big gaping hole in your lip? Well no, if you stay with the jewellery you are sized to it should stay the same size during the *life of the piercing (* this is for however long you choose to keep the piercing ).
It varies by piercing type, there are different healing times for different types of piercings.
Why do you have a fishing line in your tongue piercing in the first place
Without the jewelry to keep the piercing open, a cheek piercing will generally close within a few weeks. It can even happen in a few days if the piercing has not been there for a long period of time.
How long it takes a smiley piercing, or any piercing to heal up will depend greatly on the care given. Making sure to keep the piercing clean can help it to heal as quickly as possible.
It depends on the surgery that you are getting, the hospital that you go to, and the type of piercing that you have, but normally they let you keep it in as long as the jewelry is not metal
Well a double piercing is exactly what it is called a double piercing. It is the same piercing in the same area with the same jewellery done twice.
You should keep your studs in for how long the piercing person told you. If not, longer. (don't forget to clean them with the special cleaning stuff they gave you!!)
You can tan right away, just keep tanning lotion and oil away from your new piercing.
2 weeks
6 to 8 weeks for a light heal. Keep in mind it's a new piercing and will be a new piercing until it is a year old so if you catch a cold the piercing can swell back up again.
