Can dark sodas cause someone's vagina to smell bad?

No, I would not blame the sodas directly but if you are suffering from a yeast infection which could very well be the smell, then the sugar in the soda drinks are feeding the yeast infection and causing the smell. Do you have a discharge? If you can help it, try and cut back on these types of drinks, or even better, don't drink them at all, they are no good for your health.

What kind of infection is Tinea Versicolor?

I keep reading that this is not contagious however I contracted it from my boyfriend who had large amounts of it all over his torso, back, and arms. We dated for nearly two years and I never got it but once he moved in two months later I had it. :) If they don't understand what causes it to be triggered at all they shouldnt go stating that it's not contagious. It most certainly is. Maybe it's just rarely contagious.

Is it normal to have vaginal discharge?

The normal vaginal discharge is simply clear fluid. It may become thicker and stickier close to ovulation. Any time discharge is yellowish or greenish, like nasal snot during an infection, it is a sign of bacterial infection. Any time discharge looks like white milk or like cottage cheese, it is a sign of a yeast infection. Please never have intercourse when you have an infection-- it can be passed to a guy who can carry the germs and give it back to you or to whoever else he has sex with.

Can you pass yeast infection to your partner?

Candida is a species of yeast that is part of the normal flora on the skin and in the vagina of a human. What we call a "yeast infection" isn't a condition in which a person "catches" yeast, but is an imbalance or overgrowth of yeast. Candida causes diaper rash, intertrigo, vaginitis, oral thrush, and balanitis. None of these are considered "infectious diseases" that one catches from another human.

Can your boyfriend transfer a yeast infection back to you?

Yes. If you can transfer it to him, he can do the same to you. Candida yeast is present in the mouth anyway; he does not even need to get it from you to develop it on his own. It is often already present in the vagina and mouth of females; it can become an infection for many reasons, one of which is poor hygiene practices by either person, and can be transferred constantly between them.

You were treated for a yeast infection twice last year but symptoms never seemed to go away Do you have an extreme change of having HIV?

No, a yeast infection is caused by a fungi, HIV is a virus. Unless you were in contact with a partner who is infected with the virus NO. However, yeast infections can be decreased if you always clean your self from the front to the back. Never wipe from the back (anal area to the front) Also wearing cotton under garments and wearing loose fitting garments that keep your peri area from being moist helps Yeast infections are also comman if you have uncontroled diabetes.

Can the birth control pill cause yeast infections?

Hi. No this will not cause a yeast infection. Yeast infections are very common and easily treated with over the counter Monistat or Canesten creams. Pessarys and creams are also available. You must not have sex while you have a yeast infection or you will pass it on to your partners. Men do not have symptoms of a yeast infection like women do and because of this the infection may go un-detected and he will pass it back to you again. Make sure you are completely clear of yeast infection before having intercourse. Please note this is advice only and should not be used in place of your Physcian. No. A yeast infection occurs when the natural good bacteria in a woman's vagina is unable to keep yeast in the vagina under control. This commonly happens after taking antibiotics, which kill both good and bad bacteria in the body.Expired birth control has no effect on the bacteria or yeast content in the vagina.

Does it hurt when you have a yeast infection?

I've never had pain associated with a yeast infection. You might have a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI or bladder infection) in which case it hurts when you pee. You need to get prescription medication for that.

How can you treat yeast infection if your dog gave it to you?

make some bread then give the yeast back:) Option 2 Yeast can be treated regardless of the source of infection. However the treament varies with location of the infection. Since there is no mention of the location the "how" is a mystery. If the infection is in tissue for which there is an established, over the counter, medication the treatment is straight forward, otherwise a trip to the clinic and a doctor's Rx will be required.
