The best thing you can do is to go to your doctor or clinic, to be sure it's a sty, and not something more serious.
Put ice on it and keep it elevated higher than your heart to help the swelling go down
get to the doctor because it will turn worse, and it can have many different outcomes.
cause yer lip is prolly swollen. it will go down in a few days n it should b fineee.
You can't really "heal" it your self. It takes time for the swelling to go down. Mine took about 1-2 weeks.
ice it
Anywhere from 2-4 weeks. It will probably go down in about 2 weeks but it'll swell up if you hit or or something like that.
How long does it take for a swollen nose to go down
i have never had my lip pierced, but my friend did and it swelled up, so she put ice on it and the swelling went down. try it. i hope it works for you.
Becoming swollen and sore after getting the piercing is usually common. What is uncommon is the stud sinking into your lip. You probably need to go back to the piercer and get a different type of jewelry.
Your lip peircing should be a little bit swollen but maybe not. it depends on how your body reacts to certein things. swelling can go down in a day or it can take a week. also there will be crust on the ring, that's normal. just take care of it.
Walking is not usually good if you have swollen ankles. It is best to prop your legs up and let the swelling go down.
For the basic oral piercings, ie. lip piercing, monroe, labret etc etc; the swelling begins to go down after a few days. Since the cartilage for a dimple piercing is much thicker than that of a lip piercing, the swelling will take a little bit longer to go down. Usually 3-10 days before the swelling begins to go down, depending on how much you play with the jewelery, irritate the piercing, and even how you clean it can all alter the amount of time your piercing is swollen for!
if you're lip is swollen because it's recently been pierced use ice, hydrogen poroxide, gargle salt water, brush you're teeth, and wait for a couple days. and if it doesn't work. go to the emergency room, and they'll give you antibiotics. :]
Getting rid of swollen lip is not the hardest thing to do, but we would have go back to the source- what is the cause? If the cause is due some allergic reaction, it would be best to use an antihistamine such as puritan or DPH to do so. If the swelling is due to trauma, an analgesic/anti inflammatory drug such as diclofenac/voltaren would be best to use. Some of theses medications are sold over the counter, whilst some require a prescription.
