I left my yogurt in my desk at the office last night and wondered if it might be spoiled this morning when I got to work. I popped it open and it smelled fine. I tasted it and it tasted fine too so I ate it a few minutes ago and nothing happened. So I guess the answer is that yogurt can withstand one night out of the fridge and not kill y
Not likely. It truly depends on just how long it's been expired, and if the taste or color is off. I would definitely not eat it if there is any mold present, as you cannot see the microscopic part of the mold that is likely growing down into the yogurt itself, even if the mold you can see is only on the lid.
Yogurt is a fermented product, and can last long past the expiration date. Generally, expiration dates are for retailers to determine when products should be pulled off the shelves, and most items are good for several days if not weeks past the expiration date. The longer past the date, the more suspect. It's more about quality than safety, and I wouldn't eat leftovers that were more than 4 or 5 days old, as there is a higher risk of contamination than with a product in a sealed container that has not been opened since it was sealed in the factory.
I spoke to customer service at a major distributor of ready made frosting. They told me it is a "quality issue" not a "safety issue" that you not eat outdated frosting. In my case, I'm only baking something fun for myself, so I determined that so long as it tastes okay - which it does - then I'll go ahead and eat it. The Customer Service Rep assured me there is nothing in it to make me sick as a result of the expired date, they are concerned with it not being as high quality expired as it is when fresh. The way I look at it, there's enough stuff in it to make me sick even when it's fresh, but I like the taste so I'm treating myself! I intentionally am not stating the name of the major distributor because if someone else happens to have a bad experience with outdated frosting, I don't want the manufacturer held responsible. It is all on you - whoever choses to eat it expired. And I do so....enjoy!
if a person is sick why is that theres no appetite to eat?
The bacteria in yogurt is necessary for the creation of the yogurt - those bacteria are actually what is responsible for transforming the milk into yogurt. They are left alive for you to eat because science is finding certain bacteria are very beneficial for your digestive system and can thus have many beneficial affects on health in general. You can read more about this if you look up "probiotics". Because of this, it is even possible to take these bacteria in pill form to get the benefits without eating the yogurt.
yes, yogurt is a living thing because it has bacteria and the bacteria is living.
Eating too much candy can give a person a stomach ache as well. Timothy Phi said: i could have said that... look more carefully at the question. biologically, how, what chemicals in candy make you sick or what does the sugar do to make you sick?
Well, think about it: If it's expired, then, yeah. Anything expired can make you sick. I mean, what's the point of saying something will expire by jan 20 or something if it will not make you sick. But uh...I'm twelve so...but still come on
You will get sick
you will get sick
yes you can get sick from it
ni you can get realy sick
dry soy is just like any other food. if you eat expired food, there's a chance that you might get sick and might not get sick.
Then don't eat it! If u do eat it, well....... ur gonna get sick. :(
No, they could contain bacteria that would make you sick.
Probably nothing will happen. "Expired" does not mean that illness is assured. the best thing to do is smell it first if its bad oh boy will you know it
Eating an expired gelatin parfait won't guarantee illness, but it really does depend on the quality of the ingredients, who made it and how it was handled.
Yogurt generally isn't bad at all, unless it's expired and is then rotten.
Fruit and yogurt are both good foods to eat if you want to get a sick pack. You are also going to need to do a lot of ab workouts.
