ive had 2 podiatrists tell me that kicking dirt under my toe nails from laying down sod and kicking the sod, as to where the dirt gets further and further under your toe nails didnt kill my toenails. Well common sense tells you it would. Do you agree?

In one word NO! I have had 16 Lithrotripsies and that is not common at all! That means possible infections or possible complications!
