Much like humans, plants need food, water, sun, and oxygen (carbon dioxide) to survive. Without these essential 'ingredients', plants would not be able to live.

Why do plant cells need to carry out respiration?

plant cells, like any other cell, need a continuous supply of enery to live. if a cell stop functioning it dies and eventually the whole plant or systems dies. plant cells can do both respiration and photosyntheis, whil animal cells can only do respiration, no photosynthesis.. :D

What makes human cells different from plant cells?

The human and the plant cells have different structers Cell wall. It presence in plant cells but not in animal cells. It maintains the shape of the plant cells and protect in from bursting. Chloroplast. Green pigment found in the plant cells that captures light for the process of photosynthesis. It becomes like a sac and occupies 96%or98% of the cell And plant cells do contain mitochondria. They need to carry out respiration and need energy for growth and little movement too.

Why does a plant cell need water?

Plant cells need to remain in a turgid, or swollen, state. Wilted plants have lost this turgidity. Because plant cells are surrounded by a cell wall, they can maintain a higher water potential than animal cells. This allows them to conserve water for later use. Plants have evolved to function in this turgid state, and when their water potential drops their metabolism is effected.

Do plant cells need nutrients?

Yes, plant cells need nutrients such as water, minerals, and sugars to carry out essential functions like photosynthesis, respiration, and growth. These nutrients are obtained from the soil, air, and sunlight.

What organelles do plant cells have that animal cells don?

Plant cells have chloroplasts, cell walls, and large central vacuoles, which are not found in animal cells. Chloroplasts allow plants to photosynthesize, cell walls provide structure and support, and vacuoles store water and nutrients.

Do plant cells need to carry respiration and explain?

Yes. But not like animal cells. plants need co and co2 animal cells need o or o2

Why do plant cell have chloroplast and animals do not?

Plants cells have chloroplasts because they need it for a process called photosynthesis. But both plant and animal cells have mitochondria. Animal cells can use the mitochondria to get energy that why they need chloroplast.

Why don't animal cells have a lysosome in them?

Animal cells have lysosomes because they need it. Plant cells don't. Lysosomes break down food in the cell. Plant cells make sugar, which doesn't need to be broken down. Hope you find this helpfull ;-)

Why don't animal cells have vacoules?

no only plant cells. animal cells don't have a need for the extra water
