Sensory integration disorder or dysfunction (SID) is a neurological disorder that results from the brain's inability to integrate certain information received from the body's five basic sensory systems.
The patellar reflex is a reaction designed to prevent your quadriceps muscle from over-stretching When you put the hammer to your knee, you are stretching the tendon. In a healthy individual, this causes feedback to the brain telling it that the muscle is over-stretched. In this pathway there are two main reasons for failure. Firstly, the tendon itself; if it is loose/broken, for example if you have weak connective tissues, it will not stretch the muscle and cause the feedback. The second reason is a failure in the nervous system in either the relay to the brain, or the motor neurons. Differentiation between the causes depends on other clinical signs.
A fly genotype provides information about the specific genetic makeup of the fly, including the alleles it carries for various traits. This can help predict the fly's physical characteristics, behavior, and responses to certain environmental factors or stimuli.
Inherited behavior refers to traits or responses that are passed down from parents to offspring through their genetic material. These behaviors can include instincts, reflexes, and certain predispositions that are influenced by an individual's DNA. Examples of inherited behaviors include hunting skills in predators, nest building in birds, and migration patterns in certain species.
Sporgangia are reproductive structures produced by certain types of algae and fungi. They are responsible for releasing spores, which allow these organisms to reproduce and spread.

The chemical responsible for the distinct almond smell in certain products is benzaldehyde.
Automatic responses to certain stimuli also known as conditioned responses occur when a certain stimulus is paired with an involuntary response. An example of this is Pavlovs famous experiment with dogs where he paired the ringing of a bell with the presentation of food. Over time the dogs learned to salivate at the sound of the bell even without the food being presented. This is an example of a conditioned response.Other examples of automatic responses to certain stimuli include: Fear response a person may freeze or become panicked when they hear a loud noise Gag reflex a person may reflexively gag when presented with certain tastes or smells Startle response a person may jump when a sudden loud noise is heardAutomatic responses to certain stimuli are a form of learning and can be beneficial in certain situations such as when a person has a fear of loud noises. By pairing the loud noise with a calm response the person can learn to become desensitized to the noise and no longer experience fear.

Skinner showed that an animal which is rewarded for certain behaviors will repeat those behaviors again to gain another reward. (the reward usually food) In the opposite sense animals give a shock for wrong behavior learn not to behave that way. These are known as conditioned responses.

The Dukan diet is eating certain foods on certain days. It is not your normal diet it seems. It relies on your fat cells responses to the various foods we eat.
behaviorists such as Ivan Pavlov and B.F. Skinner. These concepts refer to how certain stimuli can trigger specific responses in individuals through conditioning. In this view, behaviors are learned and shaped by the environment, emphasizing the role of reinforcement and punishment in shaping behavior.
