When exercising, the cells require more oxygen and produce more waste products. The circulatory system delivers more oxygen and removes waste products as the cellular activity requires. This means the blood flows faster and in greater volume during exercise. This is a result of the heart pumping harder and faster.
because during intensive exercises, the cardiovascular system can't supply enough oxygenated blood throughout the body so to compensate this, respiratory system will work harder by taking in oxygen to bind to hemoglobin to be able to be transported to the peripheral vessels.
in simple terms, oxygen is your body's fuel so when your exercise your body needs more to power you. the other fuel your body uses is the glucose in food and if needed the fat deposits in you. and that's why you should exercise ^_^.
P.S. I'm sorry if this hasn't completely answered your question :). I hope this does help someone b/c I often use wikianswers and it's very helpful to lots of people!
Exercise stimulates sympathetic nervous system or the flight-or-fight response therefore produces the following effects:
your muscles need oxygen to make energy, so you need to breathe more and faster to bring oxygen to the muscles.
the respiratory and cardiovascular system work together/
Most of the body systems work together somehow. All of the other five major systems help the respiratory system work at it's best. The circulatory system probably helps the most.
Most of the systems are interconnected so they work together, like respiratory system works with the circulatory system.
muscular system, nervous system, skeletal and respiratory system

Your Heart
While and right after exercising your body temperature raises thus making your veins and peripheral circulation to broaden, so your heart rate and respiratory system don't have to work fast, because there is more space inside the circulatory system. Moreover, the respiratory system has more oxygen in the bloodstream which makes it to slow down, too.
how does the respiratory system work
how does the respiratory system work
The Respiratory system is very closely linked with the circulatory system.
no
respiratory system
If the respiratory system is not working, nothing is working.
Respiratory system of all lizards is alike .
The right side of the heart pumps deoxygenated blood to the lungs to be oxygenated. This also carries carbon dioxide to the lungs so that it can be blown off. The left side of the heart receives blood from the lungs and pumps it to the systemic circulation.
