take the baby toa hospital Are your dates correct? Baby does not get a heartbeat until about 5 weeks. Otherwise it does not look good. It is very hard for an untrained person to actually hear a fetus' heartbeat because of the position of the babies body in whe womb. A littman stethescope is one of the best around and can still miss it. The O.B. has a highly sensitive listening device which can overcome this. Don't jump to the wrong conclusions because excess stress is not good for the little one.
