Day old checks will work as well. Processed meat are a NO NO ! Same goes for ground beef. They lack the proper nutrients for eyass to build strong bones and will cause deformities preventing the bird to fly or even stand properly. If you are allowed to keep the bird REMEMBER they are not pets ! They are hunters and should be treated with proper respect to there nobility as masters of the sky. You will need guidance in falconry, open land to free fly her and proper game for her to take. I maybe able to help with guidance till you can find some one more local, if that is possible ? and I can check my contacts to see if I have any one listed remotely close to you. Who knows Mumbai is big city and there may be some one in there already ? There are training methods which have to be followed to insure a healthy and properly trained bird. You also do not want a food imprinted Eagle ! They can be very nasty ! ! So steps have to be taken to prevent this.

Bald eagles need lots of free space to move in, and room to fly or stretch their wings.

When you hold them make sure that you are wearing a very thick glove, because their talons (claws) are very sharp.

Feeding - Feed the eagle raw meat mixed in a blender with added water. You can also feed them live or dead mice and rats bought from pet stores. Don't feed the eagle a mouse that was caught, because the mouse may have eaten poison before it died and this can harm the eagle.

I kept an eagle for about 7 years until I let it go, and these are the things that I fed it.
