Mexican free tailed bats. The female migrate On spring.
all bats migrate
Certain bats will migrate
They migrate so that they can spend the winter months in a warmer area. They live in Texas until October to November, when they migrate to Mexico. They return to Texas in late February. Compared to the northern USA, Texas is very warm, but it can still be in the 30s or 40s (degrees Fahrenheit) or lower in winter, so Mexican Free-Tailed Bats fly to Mexico to avoid the cold.

Do Honduran White Bats hibernate?
some do some don't
Yes. There is a large colony (100,000-250,000) of Mexican free-tailed bats that migrate to Colorado in the summer and live in an abandoned iron mine. This is the largest colony in Colorado. In the winter, they migrate to South America. I have included a link to the brochure about the bats. The outflight that takes place every evening is spectacular and I would recommend it highly. Other than that, I don't have any more specific details about bats in Colorado. I have seen bats during the summer in various places in Colorado, but only a few here & there - nothing like the large colony at the Orient Mine.
only some species. others migrate
