FLOOR PREP CARPET
You can put carpet over an uneven floor, BUT
Every ridge, Gap or mis alignment in the sub floor will show through over time.
Here is a good rule of thumb.. If a gap or a height difference greater than the thickness of a Nickel is present, it will show through the carpet sooner or later.
Carpet cushion will help, but it is not "floor prep" on a roll & will not fix anything, only mask it some.
Ardex floor feather finish is a great & easy product to skim coat & feather out and fill in differences, it is available at any carpet installation supply house or the home centers.. DO NOT use dependable white crack filler, it will crack & break apart and cause you more problems in the long run.
It's absolutely okay, and even designer-approved to put an area rug over carpeting. You can do whatever you like in your home, and all that really matters is that you like the way it looks. That said, there are some "tricks" to putting an area rug on carpet that might help: http://www.decoratorsecrets.com/rugs-over-carpet.html
Always, always choose neutral colors for carpets/flooring. That way you can put any color furniture on top of them. With yellow walls, I would recommend Zinc gray carpet: plumcarpet[dot]com/products/zincgray-carpet Gives you nice contrast, but still frees you up. If you use a bright color in flooring it limits what you can do with the rest of the room.
Yes, a mortgage down payment calculator will allow you to determine the appropriate down payment for a specific situation. The calculator will provide different down payment amounts based on the other mortgage data (amount borrowed, interest rate, term, etc.) to help you decide the appropriate down payment for your situation. Not strictly so. Down payments are set by the lender and reflect the lender's degree of confidence in the borrower's ability to repay. A borrower should put as much down as possible because they avoid interest on that part of the purchase price. One may consult a calculator but the results are not binding on the lender.
I shall place or You will place.
An investor who purchases a put option while holding shares of the underlying stock from a previous purchase is employing a "protective put." In other words, you buy a put option on stock you already own.
No, it will wear unevenly. If the floor is solid (ie not warped floorboards) and the uneven bits slight, you can spread leveling compound (a sort of wet cement slurry) over the uneven floor to obtain a flat surface.
That is the corect spelling, "I laid the carpet." Here, laid is the past tense of to lay meaning to put it down on the floor.

First, I would recommend measuring the room to get the right size of carpet. Second, make sure that the floor is clean. Put down the padding first and tack it down, then the carpet, you will want to have a carpet stretcher handy. Make sure that the carpet is tight and them trim aound the edges.
Some builders put the base all the way down in all areas. Works fine.
You could use duct tape to put it together, or hot glue it.
Particle board is smooth enough to put a laminate down, but you also need to be sure the floor is level enough. Between each 4 x 8 sheet you could have crowning or also a raised floor joist can be the death of your new floor. Laminates are floating floors and are prone to problems when the subfloor has even minor humps or dips. Pergo requires floors to be level within an 1/8" in a 6 ft radius. I believe that is a pretty good rule to stick to. As to the carpet padding. It needs to come up and place down the manufactures recommended laminate pad. They are a lot denser then carpet pads. Also if you choose not to do so you have voided your warranty.
Moisture and mold resistant carpet padding.
I am looking to put down new carpet tiles in my home. Where can cheap carpet tiles be bought?
not something you really want to do will be a big mess easier to pull them up then put the new carpet down so you have some concrete or plywood to put the glue on will be hard work to pull the tiles up but your new carpet will stay down longer
To put carpet down effectively and efficiently, start by preparing the surface by cleaning and smoothing it. Measure and cut the carpet to fit the room, leaving a few extra inches on each side. Use a carpet stretcher to ensure a tight and smooth fit. Secure the carpet with tack strips around the edges and use a knee kicker to stretch and tuck the carpet into place. Trim any excess carpet and finish with a carpet seam roller for a seamless look.
