Normally, you wash your laundry with soap and water to get body odor out. If that's not working ... try leaving space in the machine for the clothes to move around in the water. Don't over load the machine trying to wash everything at once. If that doesn't do the trick try using a cup of vinegar in the load along with the soap and water. If it's like gym clothes or something strong you can also use a quarter cup of baking soda in the load, but do NOT use the vinegar and baking soda together. You can also use anti-pet odor stuff, but it's very expensive and why waste money when using antiperspirant, powder, or washing the body is much cheaper.

Don't machine dry your clothes if a stain or odor doesn't come out in the wash.

Believe it or not. Just try it for yourselves: Put the reeking clothes into your freezer for 3 days. I've tested it with very smelly running shoes and a shirt and it worked!

The reason for that is: There are three ways to kill germs (which will cause the malodor), you can annihilate them

  1. with a germicide (chemicals, may cause skin irritations/Allergies!)
  2. by heat (washing with high temperatures)
  3. by freezing them

As you can't wash all clothes with high temperatures you really should try it my way. Put the clothes into a plastic bag and freeze them ... it works.

Unless you don't use any chemical desinfectant before or after, the odor might return after a while but you can repeat this as often as you need ...

Also an answer: baking soda is a tried and true favorite of mine since childhood. If its underarm odor in your clothes, make a small paste of baking soda with a little lemon juice and use a toothbrush to lightly scrub. For foot odor try a peppermint spray on your feet before putting shoes on, can use a little corn starch in addition if wearing socks. I like the gold bond foot powder also. There are a number of foot spays as well as sprays for your shoes especially with peppermint. Will keep your feet and shoes smelling really nice and fresh.
