my son overdosed on methadone that he mixed in water and I'm wondering if he knew it was more lethal that way or if it was a accident. He was 18 years old and I am just devastated. I am not sure if it was an accident or a suicide. Thank you for helping me with this issue.
Carbonic gases dissolved into sodas. also in a sense motor Gasoline which is in the liquid state until it hits the carburetor or more modernly- fuel injectors in a motor vehicle.lThere it explodes into a gas.
A liquid mixture is called a solution. This refers to a homogeneous mixture where one or more substances are dissolved in another substance, typically forming a clear liquid.
Two factors that can keep a gas dissolved in a liquid solution are high pressure and low temperature. Increasing the pressure can force more gas molecules to stay dissolved in the liquid, while lowering the temperature can slow down the kinetic energy of the gas molecules, making them less likely to escape from the solution.
1. Gaseous Solution- includes gases or vapors dissolved in one another. Two or more gases can form a solution. Air is an example of a gaseous solution. When dry is made up of oxygen gas dissolved in nitrogen gas. 2. Liquid Solution- contain a liquid solvent in which gas, liquid, or solid is dissolved. Water is the most common liquid solution. Many things can be dissolved in it. Table salt is an example of a solid dissolved in a liquid. A liquid and a gas can also be dissolved in a liquid solution. 3. Solid Solution- is a mixture of solids spread equally throughout one another. Metal is an example of a solid solution at room temperature.
B. A solute and a solvent
Usually heating the liquid will allow more solid to be dissolved. This not always the case though.
More gas dissolves into the liquid.
Liquid soap is typically a saturated solution because the soap molecules are fully dissolved in the liquid solvent. This means that no more soap can be dissolved in the liquid at that temperature.

A liquid is capable of containing more dissolved gas when it is hot. This does not mean that it does contain more dissolved gas, simply that it can.
Saturated solution is the ideal type of solution. The other is unsaturated, which is less saturated than what the solvent (water, liquid etc.), and it can dilute. The last one is supersaturated which mean the solution contains more solute (solid materials).
A liquid solution is a homogeneous mixture composed of two or more substances where one substance is dissolved in the other. The substance that is present in the largest amount is called the solvent, while the substance that is dissolved is called the solute. Examples include salt dissolved in water or sugar dissolved in tea.
Henry's law states that the solubility of a gas is directly proportional to the partial pressure of that gas over the liquid. The higher the partial pressure, the more gas will be dissolved-- that's why your blood boils in a vacuum; there's not enough pressure to keep the gas in it dissolved.

No, a solution is a homogeneous mixture composed of two or more substances. The solute is the substance that is dissolved in the solvent. The solute can be a solid, liquid, or gas, and the solvent is typically a liquid, but can also be a gas or solid.
A solution is a homogeneous mixture of two or more substances, where one substance (solute) is dissolved in another substance (solvent). When a liquid is fully saturated with dissolved solid, it means that no more solute can dissolve in the solution at that temperature, and the solution is said to be saturated.
