Under normal conditions, a gas is mainly made up of uncharged particles. That is, the individual gas atomsinclude equal numbers of protons (positively charged particles in the atom's nucleus) and electrons. The negatively charged electrons perfectly balance the positively charged protons, so the atom has a net charge of zero.

What is the gaslike mixture of positively and negatively charged particles?

That is called a plasma. It only exists at high temperatures in the thousands of degrees, otherwise the positively and negatively charged particles will combine to form electrically neutral compounds of some sort.

What state of matter consisting of high temp gas with balanced positively and negatively charged particles?

A mixture of free-moving ions and electrons is called a plasma.

That is called a plasma. A plasma is usually considered a separate state of matter, i.e., you might say that it is no longer a gas. That is called a plasma. In the plasma state do atoms gain or loose electrons?

atoms in the plasma state contain a great deal of kinetic energy, enough so that the very collisions of the molecules produces ions as the kinetic energies is enough to overcome the chemical bond's strength. Being that a plasma contains a mixture of highly energetic cations ( positively charged molecules) and anions ( negatively charged molecules), it will generate its own dynamic magnetic field as well as conduct electricity and act as a source of electricity when a ground is present.

What causes plasma to form?

Plasma forms when a gas becomes extremely hot. When this happens, the gas' atoms gain lots of energy. This energy causes the electrons to detach from the nuclei of the gas' atoms. When the negatively charged electrons detach, the positively charged protons and neutral particles called neutrons in the nuclei are left.

Where is plasma available?

In blood : Plasma is available in blood ,it is liquid part of blood (including dissolved chemicals but not the cells and platelets). In Physics : Plasma is available in electrically conducting medium in which there are roughly equal numbers of positively and negatively charged particles, and they are produced when the atoms in a gas become ionized. *Note : more than 99% of the matter in the universe exists in the plasma state.

Do clinically depressed person has too much GABA in the synaptic space?

There is no such things having too much or too little GABA in the synaptic space. The GABA is either positively or negatively charged. GABA acts at inhibitory synapses by binding to specific transmembrane receptors in the plasma membrane of both pre- and postsynaptic neuronal processes. This binding causes the opening of ion channels to allow the flow of either negatively charged chloride ions into the cell or positively charged potassium ions out of the cell. This action can result in a negative change in the transmembrane potential, usually causing hyperpolarization.

What is the difference between the plasma and gas states of matter?

A gas is composed of atoms (noble gases) and molecules, such as oxygen gas. Plasma is composed of positively charged ions and unbound electrons.
