The atomic model l
The word "atom" comes from the ancient Greek word "atomos," meaning indivisible. It was introduced by the Greek philosopher Democritus in the 5th century BC. However, the modern understanding of atoms and their structure was developed through the work of scientists like John Dalton, J.J. Thomson, and Ernest Rutherford.
Democrates first thought of atoms, but Aristotle disapproved his hypothesis. This idea was discarded. John Dalton, an English teacher, looked back on Democrates's hypothesis and created the Atomic theory. JJ Thomson corrected the atomic theory because it stated that atoms were indivisible and this, of course, is not true (protons, neutrons, and electrons).
who said that all substances are made up of atomsIt's actually Dalton, because it sayes so in my textbook for school.
The idea of an indivisible particle, called an atom, can be traced back to the ancient Greeks, particularly the philosopher Democritus in the 5th century BC. However, the concept and understanding of atoms as the building blocks of matter evolved over time through the works of scientists such as John Dalton, J.J. Thomson, and Ernest Rutherford in the 19th and 20th centuries.
John Dalton used experiments and scientific tools to study matter. Aristotle and Democritus did not use such methods in their studies of matter.

cuz they were pagal and they were stupid to do this cuz then we had to study this !
the scientist behind the concept of the atom are joseph john thomson, goldstein, and james chadwick!
Example of scientists: Dalton, Thomson. Rutherford, Bohr etc.
