The meniscus - the upward curve of a liquid in a narrow vessel.
I think you're talking about the meniscus, the point where you're supposed to measure from, but you have to be more specific...
The answer depends on the liquid, or more specifically, how the surface tension in the liquid affects the meniscus. It should be the top of the meniscus for liquids such as mercury but the bottom for liquids such as water or alcohol.
There are several good places where a person can place a room thermometer so it will give an accurate reading. A person should place it in the middle of the room in the center of their home. Also, make sure it isn't near a window, door or heater, all which can affect the reading.
The transition metals
The nucleus is in the middle, which consists of neutrons and protons. The electron cloud surrounds it in order to create a balance of electrical charge between the protons and the electrons. A cluster of protons and neutrons.
Concave and convex lenses are curved lenses that bend light in a predictable manner depending on their radius of curvature and index of refraction. A concave lens bend inwards and a convex lens bends outwards.
convex
in the middle
The middle of the bow is called the belly. If you have a recurve bow ( a dismantable bow if you didn't know that curves up at the ends) then there are three parts; upper limb, lower limb, and of course the belly. Enjoy...

A digital thermometer
Place it in boiling water and it should read around 212ºF. Also, if you have a deep fryer, or crock pot, you can set the temperature, and use oil and heat it to 350ºF and test it that way also.
measure from the middle out to one side
concave and convex refer to the curve of the mirror. if it is concave, it curves in at the middle, like a 'cave'. if it is convex, it curves out at the middle, like an eye. think of a spoon - one side is convex, the other is concave. this curve will affect the image the mirror shows.
θερμός/thermos: warm +μέτρον/metron: meter, measure =θερμόμετρο/thermometron = thermometer("warmth-measure")Also: thermos, thermal, thermostat, thermonuclear, thermodetonator, hypothermia, thermodynamics, etc.
A ridge, specifically the Mid-Atlantic Ridge.
You can measure strength in your middle body by working your core, which is the middle of your body. By building strength in the core, you will be more stabilized.
Breakage of a glass thermometer creates a risk of cuts from broken glass and possible mercury poisoning. Improper operation of a tympanic thermometer can cause injury to the middle ear.old or broken thermometers may give inaccurate results.
