A two peg test is a test for error within a surveying level. This test gives a fairly accurate check for the amount of collimation error. Collimation error is the difference between what the level hairs in the scope say is level, and what is actually level.
To run the test, put two "pegs" e.g. (PK nails, Leveling turtles, etc) 100' apart from eachother. Place the level halfway between the two pegs. Take readings on both pegs and find the difference in elevation.
Move the level 20 past either peg and take readings from both pegs. Find the difference in elevation again. If the elevation is different from the first readings, there is a collimation error.

The slump test is the most widely used device worldwide. In fact, the test is so well known that often the terms workability and slump are used interchangeably, even though they have different meanings. • Specifications are typically written in terms of slump. • The slump test is simple, rugged, and inexpensive to perform. Results are obtained immediately. • The results of the slump test can be converted to yield stress in fundamental units based on various analytical treatments and experimental studies of the slump test. • Compared to other commonly used concrete tests, such as for air content and compressive strength, the slump test provides acceptable precision.
If the test is set to load-control , it means that the stress will not drop once the fracture become unstable. In displacement control the stress may drop at unstable fracture.

When conducting the two-peg test, one may face challenges such as ensuring consistent pressure applied to the pegs, which can affect measurement accuracy. Additionally, maintaining a stable hand position while aligning the pegs can be difficult, leading to potential errors in judgment. Environmental factors, such as lighting and surface stability, may also hinder performance by impacting visibility and grip. Lastly, the test requires a level of dexterity and coordination that can vary among individuals, potentially affecting results.

This can also be used as "taken down a peg" or "to take down a peg or two" - it means to deflate their ego, usually by causing them to do something that shows they've been being arrogant or by correcting something they did wrong.

The wooden peg board game, also known as peg solitaire, has a simple objective: to remove all but one peg from the board by jumping over them with another peg. The rules are that you can only move a peg by jumping over another peg into an empty space, and the peg that is jumped over is removed from the board. The game is won when only one peg remains on the board.
