First, coins are struck, bills are printed. Second, it's not a mistake. It was common in the early part of the 20th century for artists to use the Roman alphabet when lettering artwork that had a classical theme. Latin only had 24 letters; V was both a consonant and a vowel just like Y is in English. As a vowel it was pronounced the same way we pronounce the letter U. Many other coins and buildings from that time period have the same affectation.
If by misspelled you mean that the U looks like a V, then it's supposed to look like that. It's a really common date for silver dollars, currently worth about $21 for the silver.

TRVST is the normal spelling for all Peace dollars. 1923 is a very common date. Value is $13 to $15 depending on condition.
Roosevelt was not pictured on a silver dollar. He was on a dime. Your coin could be a privately minted coin. If so it's only worth it's base metal value. Silver base medals are worth the most.
Trust is -not- misspelled. It simply uses the Latin U which looks like a V. The Standing Liberty Quarter also uses the same lettering, along with many other coins from the same time period or older. It is worth the same that any other 1922 Peace dollar is worth, which is around $30-35 if in circulated condition, mostly for the silver value since 1922 is a common date.
