Maybe you are trying to load the wrong cal. bullet! The Mauser is desigend to only feed from the internal magazine. The extractor claw catches the rim of the cartridge as it rides upward from the magazine. If a bullet is in the chamber, the claw of the extractor will not go over the rim of the cartridge thus not letting the bolt not to close. Trying to force the bolt close in this situation will cause damage to the extractor.
I don't think you have a Mauser - the flaming cannon ball is a US Ordnance marking, and both the M1903 Springfield and M1917 bear very close resemblance to the Mauser (both share a lot of their lineage with the Mauser). If it's either of these, it would be chambered in .30-06. However, these are not the only rifles to bear that marking. Feel free to send me photos (my email address is in my profile), and I can tell you more from those.
IF the bolt is properly installed, are you trying to close the bolt on a cartridge? The Mauser is designed to feed from the magazine- if you single load a cartridge, the extractor may not fit over the rim.
Close can be an action verb: to close the door, or close the sale, or close your eyes.
what action can a member of the house take to close debate
The fetal pig has a four-chambered heart and not three-chambered. The chambers are divided between the upper and the lower chambers.
i have a very old mauser which is not an 8mm, i have alot of those. i is markerd berlin and ser number 1909. i can not find a marking of what cal it may be but a 8mm will almost fit but not close. can you help me find the cal. maybe 7mm ( how hard to find that?) mikkel.mikkelson@comcast.com
No, it wouldn't even come close to fitting and would be very dangerous even if it did. One can only use the ammo a firearm is chambered for.
For a CF rifle, there are only three steps. Open action, insert ammunition, close action.
Eject the magazine and pull back on the toggle.
In a 4-chambered heart animal, the valves on the heart close to prevent back-flow from the ventricle into the atrium. In this way, the valves assure that the heart propels the blood forward with sufficient pressure and volume to reach all regions of the body.
The typical spelling is bullseye or originally bull's-eye.The capitalized form is used for a villain in Marvel Comics, Bullseye.
A reflex action is an "automatic" and sometimes involuntary action caused by the presence of a stimulus. The action requires no conscious thought and will happen naturally. An example is someone waving ther hand very close to your face, you will naturally blink. This is a reflex action.
