he was upset but was also proud
No, I do not agree. The base of every relation is faith and every child expect from his parents to be faithful to him. There was nothing so important to hide the fact from Harold that his father is a boxer. His parents should have known the interest of their child in sports and have told him about his father's profession. As Harold was an extraordinary child and was intelligent he might have understood his parents as according to me there is no shame in being a sports man or boxer.
Oh, dude, the ironical ending of "Keeping It From Harold" is when Harold's parents finally tell him the truth about his dad's job as a boxer, and Harold turns out to be a natural at boxing himself. It's like, who would've thought, right? The kid who was kept in the dark ends up being the family's boxing prodigy. Classic twist, man.
Harold was very different from ordinary children . Harold ' s parents wanted to keep Mr. Bramble ' s profession a well guarded secret from him . Harold was made to believe the fiction that his father was a a commercial traveller . They didn't want Harold to die of " disgrace " by knowing the truth that his father was a man of "wrath" and a bloody boxer .
Roy Cross - footballer - was born on 1947-12-04.
Mr.Bramble was a squared jaw man with a broken nose and red head, just as other boxers. he was a proffesional boxer yet was an amiable and a very kind and gentle person. He was extremely obliging and was always ready to accept what other people said hence persuasive. he was ashamed of becoming a boxer after harold, a child who was devoted to books became his son.
boxer (as in underware) = boxer boxer (as in fighter) = boxeador
