You can ask any question that has enough information in the question itself, and doesn't ask for more than one answer in a single question (such as "What is Canada's population and area in miles?"). As long as the question isn't inappropriate, adds value to WikiAnswers (no nonsense questions), and has enough information to answer, ask away.
Supervisors are the ones who trash questions, we must trash them if for example the question doesn't have enough information (in the question) to answer. We have to follow strict guidelines when trashing guidelines.
