On the back seat in order to lift it off to get to your battery all you have to do is pop the seat off. Get your hands under the seat from the sides and lift upward the back seat will pop. Make sure you do this on both sides.
1992 has two switches accessible from thetrunk and two levers accessible from inside (on upper part of the back seat on both sides between column and seat)
To remove the seat back on a 1999 Jaguar XK8, first, ensure the seat is moved forward. Wheel well. In my 92 camaro that large hump behind the back seat is the gas tank. The wheel wells are on the sides.
Remove the bolts from both sides of the white plastic side panels. They are connected to seat and the bike. The seat slides back after bolts are removed.
Mine has rear mount speakers in the back but off of the cargo area attached to the sides, just to the back sides of the back seat. It works and sounds perfectly.

there are two clips along with bottom part of the back seat....pull it out and release it. and then you will find there are two screw on both sides next to the seat belt clip. unscrew them and push the seat up.....job done!!
push in on both sides of the rear seat bottom and lift up to get the bottom of the seat out and the back is held in with 2 bolts that go through the floor pan, take the bolts out and slide the back part up to get it out.
