You can also use the 'netstat' command to get this information.

For a Unix/Linux system, the command is 'ifconfig', although you may also use 'netstat' to find your IP address.

There are two main ways to locate your IP address, I'll explain the easiest. Press start and select run, type in CMD and press enter, then in the DOS BOX that shows up, type in IPCONFIG and then enter.
