On opposite sides of the outlet you have a pair of gold colored screws and a pair of silver colored screws. Attach the black wire to either gold screw and the white wire to either silver screw. You also have a screw off by itself near the bottom (or top) of the outlet. The bare wire is attached to it. When attaching the black & white wires scrape off only enough insulation to wrap the bare part partially around the screw. You should not have insulation underneath the screw and you should not have a lot of exposed bare wire (especially the black wire). When wrapping the wire around the screw wrap in the same direction you will be tightening the screw. When the wires are wraped around the screws tighten the screws good & tight. This takes patience with #12 wire as it is not easy to bend. Use needle nose pliers to help you.
The black wire is the hot wire. The white wire is the ground. The bare wire is the safety ground.
well to connect it you have to plug it into a usb wire and plug it into a PC
You don't. A 2 prong plug has two wires, one called live (black or red wire in the US) and the other is neutral (white or gray wire in the US). A 3 prong plug needs a third wire for ground (bare copper, green, or green-yellow in the US). The only time you can replace a 2 prong plug with a 3 prong plug is if the 2 prong plug incorrectly replaced an original 3 prong plug.
Use an inductive pickup on plug-wire #1, and connected to tachometer located in vehicle.
It is called a ground, and prevents you from electrocuting yourself if there is a tear in the cord.
Keep in mind I'm not a computer repair guy or at least not officially. The four pin molex connector from a power supply unit that you use to plug into hard drives, and other drives has a 5 volt wire and a 12 volt wire. The two black ones are ground or negative. The red wire is 5 volts DC, the yellow is 12 volts DC.
Spark plug wire not connected to spark plug? Spark plug wire connected to Wrong spark plug? Vacuum line disconnected? Bad spark plug or wire?
In a 2-pin plug, the wire that is not present is the grounding wire. This type of plug only has two prongs for the live and neutral wires, unlike a 3-pin plug that includes a grounding wire for added safety.
bad spark plug wire.
I need a lot more information. I don't know what you mean by four wire plug. What does it look like, what was it used for? What three wire plug are you installing, what does it look like, what is it used for. What color ore the wires?
to the furtherest plug! Plug #1 is probably the longest wire
how to replace plug wire on a toro mower
If it is the same plug every time, I would say the plug or wire is grounding out some where. Try replacing the plug the the wire.
A 2-pole wire will not work on a 3-pole plug. You will need to use a 3-pole wire on a 3-pole plug.
Change the cord/plug on the stove to a four wire cord/plug. When installing the new plug remove the grounding strip that connects the center lug in the stove wiring block to the frame of the stove. Connect the white wire from the new plug to the center lug. Connect the green wire from the plug to the stove frame.
i have a metal sleeve over each spark plug wire at the motor.....cant get the wire out to get to the plugs?? how do i get the wire off the plug??
If you mean that the wire came out of the boot, then pull the boot off of the spark plug and use a spark plug socket to remove the spark plug.
no it can not start with a broken spark plug wire unless you fix it
