With pliars, electrical tape, a knife and lots of swearing and throwing things across the room in frustration! You need a special tool for this. It would be cheaper to buy a new cable than to buy the tool! (Not to mention you would probably never use the tool a second time!)
Twisted-pair cables are made out of copper, they are shielded with plastic to prevent electromagnetic interference but the actual cable is made out of copper.
plastic or rubber
I have had the same problem. I have just discovered that the 4 pin plug on the 'brick' side of the cable going on to the laptop, has broken. It seems that the tiny cylindrical conductors have sheared, and the plastic has now broken off. I have fixed it by soldering tiny bits of wire into the conductors on the cable side, applying Araldite to the point where the plastic broke, and pushing the protuding small wires into the other side of the conductors on the cable side. I am thinking it will only be a temporary fix, and I will probably be purchasing a power supply from a different manufacturer of the same spec. We'll see how long my fix stays together.
For cable internet, you typically must connect the modem to the cable line, and then any devices that will be connected up. Software is NOT necessary for today's cable modems to be utilizeable on modern OSs and computers. However if you mean cable TV, or cable internet *service*, you may not be able to do this without either working with the cable box (which is illegal without explicit permission). Some are also 'turned off' at the hub, so cannot be activated without being switched on by the cable provider. Most digital cable TV and Internet work this way. So if you're asking to steal cable, you almost can't. If you're trying to save money on an installation, it may be possible, but cable companies will often also make this a non-option.

How much cable came out when broke? Cut the plastic cable back to the point where you can see the steel cable core and pull with vice grips to open. You can pull the cable around to handle easier. If it broke under the hood try to find the cable and do the same.
Three possible reasons. Gear in transmission which is plastic could be broke. Cable itself broke or speedometer head in dash broke. Good luck.
cable broke release latch for the hood can't open it
how do you open the hood on a 1992 buick regal if the cable is broke
It is your automatic mirror cable.
Fiber-optic cable.
No. it is plastic.
Go to the autoparts store and buy a new clamp-on end.
purchase a replacement cable and install it. its not reccomended to repair a broken cable
The plastic core keeps the twisted pairs separated allowing less crosstalk than CAT-5 cable.
Plastic coated. The cable has an external cover of poly plastic.
You generally can't replace the guide without replacing the cable. If the transmission still shifts easily, you don't need to replace the cable immediately (as in, it is not an emergency) however you should plan to replace it as soon as you can. yes you do there is no getting around it, sorry
