It is a floppy cable with 64 little cables in it, with 40 pin holes, to connect to mother board and hard drive and DVD.
black part connect to the motherboard grey part to hardisk and blue part to DVD.
hope that does it.
plain and simple
-Sata Cable -IDE Cable -Molex/Sata power cable Other possible -SCSI Cable -Floppy cable -SLI/Crossfire Cable -12V 24 pin Motherboard connector -12v 4-pin CPU Connector -12v PCI-e Connector
The I/O configuration AHC would be the best HDD and SDD configuration for me.
The motherboard
data is saved by user in a hdd in correct location
They make internal and external 500 gb HDD
Connect new hdd and check for proper jumper connection. Configure both HDD to master and slave if they are connected using same IDE cable or if they both have different set of IDE cables, then just connect the HDD and provide power cable from SMPS.. Similar for SATA HDD
First u need a old xbox 360 HDD case and a transfer cable get the old HDD and open it until u find the sata to xbox cable. if u don't know how to open HDD Google it. next connect the cable to your slim HDD and connect the other end to the transfer cable. then use connect the us into your PC and use xport 360 to get into your HDD. hope this helped
It connects via a USB cable.
Hard Drives connect to the motherboard one of two ways. Either using a 40-wire/40-pin HDD ribbon cable, or an 80-wire/40-pin HDD ribbon cable. HDD stands for Hard Drive Disk.
pin 1 goes here
I have that problem too. 1st check your SATA n' power cable to HDD, okay? Then go to BIOS n' see if your HDD is being detected, yes or no? Even after that it does not show your HDD, try to put that HDD in your friends PC. If it worked then problem with wires. Replace SATA n' power cable with new one. If even in his computer it gave error than you have to buy a new HDD.
You should receive a transfer cable upon purchasing an Xbox 360 Elite or a 120 GB HDD. Alternatively, you could call 1-800-4MY-XBOX and claim that you bought a 120 GB HDD, but didn't receive a transfer cable. They should send you one for free.
xbox hard disk drives (hdd) are locked, you have to lock a non-xbox hdd to make it work. but you will have to understand the engineering of the hdd in order to make sure that it is compatible with the system. not many are compatible. most times it is best to modd the old xbox in order to add a second hdd. after modding it you can modd a controller cable to become a USB cable.
Flash drive, HDD with USB cable, any SD card
A clicking sound on a HDD is always a bad sign. Connecting an ethernet cable should not make any difference to the hard drive. In my opinion you should back up all your data and get a new hard drive. The days left in your hard drive are counted!
HDD RPM speed ?
It depends whether or not you are keeping the original Hard Disk Drive (HDD).If you are keeping the original HDD;First of all, turn off the computer and unplug the System Unit from the mains.Carefully open the system unit.Touch the casing with your bare hands (a procedure to earth youself and prevent electrostatic discharges)You have to change the jumper settings of the new HDD. The jumper settings are found on the HDD itself. Just look for it carefully. You must put the jumper of the new HDD on 'slave'. Verify that the jumper on the original HDD is on 'master'.Then you find a place in the system unit for the new HDD.Fix it carefully.Connect the Molex power cable to it (or the SATA power cable)Connect the IDE Cable (or Sata cable)Check for loose connections.Plug everything and start-up! :)If you are removing the original HDD;Look for all your driver-softwares and the CD of the Operating System.Once everything is found, proceed to the exchange of HDDs.Turn off the computer and unplug the System Unit from the mains.Carefully open the system unit.Touch the casing with your bare hands (a procedure to earth youself and prevent electrostatic discharges).Unplug the cables connected to the HDD. Take care not to touch any electronic parts with your fingers or any other tools.Unscrew the HDD and remove it.Place the new HDD. Screw and plug the cables.Check for loose connections.Plug everything and start up.Now you'll have to format; As soon as the computer starts up, enter BIOS (by pressing 'del' or any other stated key).Go to Boot-priority.Put the CD Drive in first priority.Put the Operating System Installation CD in the drive and restart the computer. Now just wait and follow the instructions.
