A machine's complexity could mean the number of parts, lines of software code, the complexity of the organization producing the machine, or a combination of these aspects.

Complex machines require a huge engineering and project management effort. Here are some of the largest projects ever attempted by man:

5) F22 Raptor

4) F35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter

3) Hubble Telescope

2) Large Hadron Collider

1) Space Shuttle

Does a dishwasher have an embedded computer?

This mostly depends on the kind of dish washing machine you own and what you consider a 'computer'. If its an older machine, its quite possible that the machine 'logical' or controlling device is mechanical working off of timers, springs etc. It could be argued this does 'compute' (the first computer ever made by Babbage was mechanical) however in the modern sense (or in my opinion), a computer is a device that contains some sort of centralized processing unit (CPU) that does the complicated math/'thinking' for other functional devices that actually perform tasks. When a device can be programmed to perform/control multiple tasks, you're in the realm of computer. Today, many appliances from your fridge to your dishwasher do have a computer of some sort in them. Lots of appliances actually run stripped down versions of Linux, a popular open source operating system like Windows on your own computer. So if your dishwasher is relatively new, theres a very good chance it has, or essentially is a computer with an aquatic device attached to it that it controls. Sorry if this means you lost a bet.

Why dp you have to tie your hair back in desingh and technology?

Well oviously.......you might get it stuck in the machines ever seen Saw the Movie? well anyways a girl at our school got her hair stuck in a machine and it ripped half the skin on her head off and her heair was blonde. but after it have been in the machine it went ginger with blood. x

What is theLargest single man made moving object?

The largest self-propelled man-made object ever built was the Jahre Viking or Knock Nevis, an oil tanker that dwarfs all other vessels of all classes and uses. It is 1,503 feet long, 226 feet wide and displaced over 500,000 tons when fully loaded. Compare that with a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier (97,000 tons) or even the latest cruise ship (Oasis of the Seas at 220,000 tons) and you get an idea of the scale of this machine. It has been bought and sold several times by oil companies, hence the multiple names. It has since been decommissioned and is now used as a floating oil storage platform in the Persian Gulf. Considering the economics of oil transporation, it is doubtful that another crude carrier of this size will ever be built again.

How can it be shown that the set of all DFAs, denoted as alldfa hai a is a DFA and L(a) , is decidable?

The set of all deterministic finite automata (DFAs) where the language accepted by the DFA is empty, denoted as alldfa hai a is a DFA and L(a) , can be shown to be decidable by constructing a Turing machine that can determine if a given DFA accepts an empty language. This Turing machine can simulate the operation of the DFA on all possible inputs and determine if it ever reaches an accepting state. If the DFA does not accept any input, then the language accepted by the DFA is empty, and the Turing machine can accept.

How does the output work compare to the input work for a machine that has an efficiency to less than 100 percent?

Then the output work is less than the input work. That description applies to every machine that has ever been built or will ever be built.

Why would you want to use a machine with a mechanical advantage less than 1?

Mainly because that's the only kind you can ever get. If you hold out until you find a machine with a mechanical advantage of not less than 1, you'll never get the job done. Or even started.

What factor affect the mechanical advantage of a simple machine?

The more moving/mechanical components in a system the greater likelihood of a part failing. remember that no part is ever manufactured exactly, there is always a tolerance (an amount the dimension/specification can vary by) cumulatively this increase the more parts you add. Basically a simple machine has less things that can break and is easier to maintain.

How many people did it take to make the first TV?

If you mean the first TV ever (a mechanical one) it was 2 people, if you mean the first electronic TV it was just one person, but if you mean the first commercially built TV that was sold the answer is too complicated to ever determine a number. The first prototype mechanical TV was built by Georges Rignoux and A. Fournier in Paris in 1909.The first prototype electronic TV was built by Philo Taylor Farnsworth in San Francisco in 1927.

Why is it that mechanical engineering is important in the society?

ever use a car? mechanical engineering, ever used a manufactured product? the machines used were probably designed by a mechanical engineer. engineers design our world.
