Layer 5
seven
The three layers that I could think of are User interface, Client side, and server side.
The Seven layers of the OSI model are: Application Presentation Session Transport Network Data-Link Physical I think the answer to your question is the Application layer.
The OSI Model stands for Open Systems Interconnection. The answer to the question which layer of the OSI model are layers capable of functioning is at all layers.
Layer 5
Session and Presentation Layers
The OSI Model has 7 layers. Application Presentation Session Transport Network Data Link Physical
Session, transport and network
There are in total seven layers in OSI model . OSI model layer that is responsible for the termination of connections between hosts is session layer . Session layer is responsible for the dialog control .
Application Presentation Session
Layers can be classified in various ways, but some common classifications include physical, network, data link, transport, session, presentation, and application layers in the OSI model, and application, middleware, and data layers in software development.
The Session and Presentation layers are the fifth and sixth layers of the OSI model. The Session layer manages the establishment, maintenance, and termination of communication sessions between applications, ensuring that data exchange occurs in an organized manner. It handles session control, synchronization, and dialog management. The Presentation layer, on the other hand, is responsible for translating data between the application and network formats, including data encoding, encryption, and compression, ensuring that the data is properly formatted for the application layer. A suitable diagram would show the OSI model layers, highlighting the Session and Presentation layers, with arrows indicating their functions—session management for the Session layer and data translation/formatting for the Presentation layer.
False.
There is no two-layered OSI model in CCNA. 7-layer there is (physical, link, network, transport, session, presentation, application). 4-layer there is (physical, network, transport, application), being the first an abstraction of physical+link and being the last an abstraction of session, presentation and application. This model is used because of the CCNA point of view, having no relevant meaning the abstracted layers.
