The primary thing that happens when you reset your router is that it does back to default settings. This means that the network and wireless settings will need to be reconfigured.
no YOUR ip wont change if i reset MY router.
Hope that helped!
One can reset the IP address with a Linksys router very easily. One must first reset the router, then go into the computer networking settings and reset within the settings.
IP address remains the same. Mac address changes from router to router.
the router is assigned an ip address.
Your Router is assigned an IP address that is known as a public IP address then your router assigns out IP addresses that are known as local IP addresses. So the answer is yes and yes!
You need to enter the set up screen for the router and look at the settings. If it is set up as a DHCP server it will have a base address preset, usually 192.168.0.1 and will assign ip addresses to any equipment that is connected to it. You can change the base ip address, say to 10.0.0.1 to suit the needs of other equipment, or you can turn off the DHCP server and allow the router to be given an ip address by another DHCP server on your network, or you can assign a fixed ip address to the router. Read the manual that came with the router and check the makers web site for more information.

That's probably an IP address of router. If it is router just turn it from electricity and then turn it back on.

You probably need to reenter the IP Address into the router.
It depends on how your router was configured. If it uses DHCP service you can't change IP address at all. If you want to be able to change IP address you need to configure it to manual mode and set IP address manually.
Router(config-if)#
If you have a static IP, you will have to request an IP change from your ISP. if you have a dynamic IP (most people do) your IP will most likely change if you turn your router off and unplug it for about half an hour then plug it back in.
If you cannot aquire an IP it is most likely that the router needs reset or you need to update your drivers.

A router that is set up to route IP packets.
Two ways:First way: login to the router and change it in the settings.(more information is needed to go into detail)Second way: Hit the little reset button on the router. This should reset the router to default.
If you have a router then it probably changed because your router was switched off for a while so your ip (set by your router) changes. This doesn't mean anything and you shouldn't worry about it but if you don't have a router...i really don't know what made it change.
