most likely it is some error in the HDD, probably it is just either a manufacturing error, faulty drive of it is just an old HDD needing replaced.
Also check your bios to see if the hard drive acoustics is on performance. If you are familiar with any of the old macs, they used to "talk" when you where dong work. Even the 6 year old iMacs used to do it too.
