Answer
CD Rom's will never replace books as many people still don't have computers or want anything to do with them. There's nothing like curling up in front of a crackling fire with the book of your choice and reading it. Not only that but in a lot of cases, books on the net have to be downloaded, that means having an internet connection and more money out the door, just to read a book, I seriously doubt CD Rom will ever replace books.
The first printed books, known as incunabula, were produced in Europe in the mid-15th century. The Gutenberg Bible, printed by Johannes Gutenberg in 1455, is often considered the first major book printed using movable type. This marked a significant development in the history of printing and book production.
Johann Gutenberg invented the printing press in the 1450's and the first book to ever be printed was a Latin language bible printed in Mainz, Germany.
Because Hitler had a love of books, his last wish was that the swastika would be printed on every book ever made, obviously his wish was not fulfilled but many books still honor his wish.
The Gutenberg Bibel was the first book printed in the way we know it today. (with moveable letters) But i think at wikipedia are standing more facts tot hat topic about older printed books. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Printing#History
W. Mears has written: 'Books lately printed and sold by W. Mears, at the Lamb on Ludgate-Hill' 'A compleat catalogue of all the plays that were ever yet printed in the English language'
Not likely, I don't see books being replaced by CD-ROMS, but I do see them being replaced with electronic devices that allow the user to read several books in one device (such as the Kindle/Kindle HD). Don't worry though, I doubt that reading will ever go obsolete, because no matter how technologically advanced we get, reading will be a needed skill for everyone.Cheers!Joe
It is Agatha Christie's best-selling novel, AND THEN THERE WERE NONE with 100 million sales to date, making it the world's best-selling mystery ever, and one of the most-printed books of all time,

While CDs and physical media were once used to distribute digital content, the shift towards online platforms and digital downloads has been significant. E-books, in particular, have become increasingly popular due to their convenience and accessibility on various devices like e-readers, tablets, and smartphones. E-books also offer features like adjustable font sizes, annotations, and the ability to carry a vast library in a single device. It's important to note that technological trends can change rapidly, and new formats and distribution methods may emerge over time. However, as of my last update, printed books and digital e-books were the dominant formats for reading, and CDs as a primary medium for distributing books had largely declined in use. It's possible that other technologies could emerge in the future, but predicting their exact impact on printed books is challenging. No, nothing can ever replace the feeling of a book in your hand. Books can take you amazing places you've only dreamed of or tell you unforgettable stories. All in one little thing.
Two things. First, the U.S. has never printed a $1 million dollar bill, ever. Second, no genuine U.S. currency is printed in China.
